Accepting these Terms

By installing or playing Map Instinct, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

You must be old enough to accept these Terms in your country, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts them for you.

Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Map Instinct for your own non-commercial entertainment, on devices you own or control and in line with the rules of the App Store or Google Play.

You may not copy, sell, rent or distribute the game, extract or reuse its questions or data, decompile or modify it except where the law allows it, or use it to build a competing service.

Your profile

The game creates a guest profile for you. If you do not link Apple or Google, your profile may be lost when you delete the app or change phones, and we cannot restore it.

You are responsible for activity in your profile and for keeping access to any Apple or Google account you link to it.

Fair play and community rules

When you play, you agree not to:

• use cheats, bots, automation, modified apps or bugs to gain an advantage, or manipulate scores, ratings or the Daily Challenge
• choose a username that is offensive, hateful or sexual, that impersonates someone, or that contains another person's personal data
• harass, threaten or abuse other players, including through friend requests and duel invitations
• misuse the report feature, or disrupt the game, its servers or other players
• sell, buy or share profiles

We review reports within 24 hours and may also check gameplay data. If you break these rules, we may change your username, remove scores, XP or medals, reset your rating, limit features, or suspend or delete your profile. Where possible, we tell you why.

A suspended profile is removed from all leaderboards, its username is reset and it can no longer be used to play. If you think we made a mistake, write to info@stoneity.com.

Questions and map data

Questions are generated from geographic data such as GeoNames, and the maps are made from Natural Earth data. Place names, positions, distances and borders can be approximate or out of date, and they do not express any position on political or territorial questions. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

Ads

Map Instinct is free to play and shows ads from third parties. We are not responsible for the content of ads or for the products and websites they promote.

Scores, ratings, levels and medals

Scores, ratings, streaks, XP, levels, medals and leaderboard positions are part of the game. They have no monetary value, belong only to your profile and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. We may recalculate or remove them, for example to correct errors or cheating, and leaderboards reset in the periods shown in the game.

Changes to the game

We keep improving Map Instinct. We may add, change or remove modes and features, and some features need an internet connection. We may also stop offering the game; if we do, we will announce it in advance where reasonably possible.

Intellectual property

The game, its design, code, questions, texts and sounds and the Map Instinct name and logo belong to Stoneity or its licensors. Third-party data and software are used under their own licences, which are listed in the credits. These Terms give you no rights to our trademarks.

Disclaimer

We work hard to keep the game running smoothly and accurately, but, to the extent the law allows, we provide it as it is and as available, without a guarantee that it is always available or free of errors, or that every question is accurate. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Stoneity is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost profits or lost data arising from the use of the game. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Provisions that by their nature continue, such as those on intellectual property and liability, remain in effect.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Anadolu) are competent for disputes. If you are a consumer, you can also apply to the consumer arbitration committees or consumer courts where you live, and you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. We will tell you about significant changes in the app before they take effect, and if you keep playing after that, the updated Terms apply.
